"The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information." -- Information Power: Guidelines for School Library Media Programs, 1998

The Johnson Elementary library has over 12,000 books, magazines, and books-on-tape. We have a flexible schedule which encourages students, staff and parents to use the library throughout the school day.

Students enjoy regular book check out sessions, story times and research activities using the Gale databases and other library materials. Our student-centered library encourages students to be independent, responsible, and enthusiastic library users.

"Wild About Reading!" is the theme for the Six Flags Read to Succeed Club. Please encourage your child to read 6 hours and receive a free Six Flags ticket for the summer of 2010.  Entry forms must be signed by parents and returned to the teacher by February 19, 2010.  For more information see Mrs. Dubiski and  check out http://sixflags.weeklyreader.com/
